Scopes — EGD & Colonoscopy

Upper Endoscopy (EGD): Examines the esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine for GERD, ulcers, or Barrett’s esophagus.


Colonoscopy: Screens for colon cancer, removes polyps, and investigates bleeding or digestive changes. Patients are back to their normal selves the next day, ready to return to work and daily activities.

Dulcolax® tablets + MiraLAX® mixed with Gatorade or Powerade. Gentle, tolerable, and keeps you hydrated.


 No, sedation is used. Most patients don’t remember the procedure. 


 EGD: 10–20 minutes. Colonoscopy: 20–45 minutes. Plan 2–3 hours total.


 The next day. A driver is needed on procedure day.


Start at 45, repeat every 10 years if normal. Earlier if higher risk.


Yes—very safe. Risks are rare and reviewed beforehand.
